Had An Accident

Back to the section Video

A wonderfully unusual acoustic track from the Here From The Neck Down EP (2005). It's a touching tune enhanced by a harp on a haunting atmosphere. The beautiful lyrics, perfectly sung by Rob Corless, are splendidly fit with the fantastic video, created by Chesy from Manchester duo My Computer.

Marie Luce Giordani R.I.P.

16 Jun 2004
Gabrielles Wish would like to express their sadness at the death of Marie Luce Giordani, who died of cancer aged 38 on May 16th.
Marie Luce was a photographer from Corsica who came to Manchester and worked for the City Life Magazine and the Manchester Evening News GO Magazine.
She was a friend to the band and took many of the early photographs of the band, like the one on the right. She will be missed by us all.

Portal change name to Veto

02 Apr 2004
Veto is the new name of Portal, the new band formed by Paul Ryan and Darren Moran, former guitarist and bassist in Gabrielles Wish. They decided for a name change after discovering there were already some bands around with the previous name.
Veto played their live debut at the Kraftwerk Tribute night at the Roadhouse in Manchester, on March 28 (still billed as Portal). They played Expo 2000, Numbers and Computer World.
More gigs will follow in May and June.
