Both are available streaming and for download. :: 25 Jul 2008 TWO NEW VIDEOS FOR THE GABRIELLES WISH EP : The new videos of Warmonger and Go See The Doctor have been added to the Sounds section. Both directed by Adam Booth they're available streaming and for download. Both tracks are available on the Gabrielles Wish EP (1996) :: 15 Jul 2008 : smalladjustments.com works again. Some links still need to be fixed. :: 10 Jul 2008 : gabrielleswish.com and the E Mail addresses linked from the home page now work correctly again. Both directed by Adam Booth, they're available streaming and for download. :: 02 Dec 2007 : Karen Leatham's Artworks have been added to the Gallery section. The Gigography has been updated. :: 28 Nov 2007 THE SITE IS NOW SAFE AGAIN, BACK ON THE ORIGINAL SERVER : These have been tough times, but now it's over, or so it seems. The virus revealed as more dangerous that it was supposed to be, the site on this server was deleted and a clean version was uploaded to a mirror. Now the site has been completely reinstalled to a new branch of the server which seems safe. http://www.gabrielleswish.com redirects here and the mirror doesn't work anymore though it's ready to be reactivated if needed. The security of this server will be kept watched closely in the close future. Normal updates will restart tomorrow. :: 19 Nov 2007 ALL ABOUT THE CURRENT VIRUS ATTACK TO OUR SITE HOST SERVER : Briefly: 1 install FIREFOX 2 install the QUICK JAVA extension and disable javascript The details: Unfortunately it seems the server which hosts the Gabrielles Wish site has been hit by the quite common javascript virus (of the 'document - write - unescape' kind), which would insert into the code of every page a hidden iframe running some sort of unidentified malware, it is believed to try to install dialers (dangerous only if you're still connected on old 56k dial up modems) but it's not quite sure from what we know. You can see if there's a virus on the page because there's a small square on the top left corner. Also if you try to load a page with a wrong address, for example http://www.smalladjustments.com/gw/soundz.html , you're redirected to a fake 'Not found' page of a fake server (though the page is still on the IP of the real server!). If you read the HTML source you even see the comment of the bastard explaining how he's managing to spread the virus bypassing the browsers' protection systems! Well, now the good news: while we try to solve the problem you can avoid any risk in two simple steps: Internet Explorer: erm, are you still using that? Hit that CLOSE button! FIREFOX: Ah, now this is more like a proper browser! Look, I know that some sites (wrongly) use code which can be read properly only by Internet Explorer, but you can always view this kind of sites inside Firefox with the IE engine using, when needed, the IE Tab extension. The extension you have to install to protect yourself from javascript attacks (which can come from many other sites as well) is QUICK JAVA: you can disable javascript (at least before coming on this site) clicking the JS icon on the status bar, and then enable it only when needed for really trusted sites, always clicking the same button. Yeah, simple as that. (Of course you can disable javascript without this extension, in the box of the content section in the options window, but obviously with Quick Java you do the same thing much faster, just clicking a button). Opera: disabling javascript is also really easy: Tools - Quick preferences - Enable Javascript. You can add it to your site, blog or MySpace too! As easy as embedding a YouTube video, get the code and add it to your page. It's made by Andy, a true fan from Manchester who's also helping me with the Lyrics (work in progress). At the moment on the Gabrielles Wish space you can find four full exclusive streaming tracks (Hoist, Dateless Wonder, Sherman and Gazelle), a video (Had An Accident), news and a message board. :: 06 Jun 2006 : I've discovered yet another page on MySpace.com about Gabrielles Wish which still lists the Sheffield date but as far as I know that date has been cancelled.
